Airborne signs agreement with NLR at JEC

On 11 March 2014, Airborne Technology Centre and NLR signed a contract at the JEC Composites exhibition in Paris for opening an Airborne branch on the NLR premises and to intensify research cooperation. Dutch Minister Kamp of Economic Affairs visited the JEC as representative of the Netherlands and was present to witness the signing of the contract.

Airborne Technology Centre

The technology centre of Airborne is responsible for all research, development and innovation within Airborne. The contract covers the opening of a branch of Airborne at the Composites Manufacturing Technology Centre of NLR, which will act as an extension of the Airborne technology centre. Airborne’s ambition is amongst others, to extend their product range for the aerospace industry and is looking for a closer cooperation with NLR in order to enhance their competitiveness. Airborne sees this cooperation in the light of growing sales in a positive market. NLR will make available facilities and capacity for technology development and the first series production. The cooperation will carry the name “ANTC”, Airborne NLR Technology Centre.
