On Friday the 19th of August 2016, The Blackgem telescope carbon fibre composite structure left the Airborne factory to be further assembled at ASTRON. Airborne was responsible for the design and manufacturing of the telescope structure and is proud that it has its share in the development of this high accuracy optical telescope to be used for the exploration of gravitational waves.
