Airborne Composites Automation comes to life

Last December in a joint event with Siemens and Kuka, Airborne’s new business unit Airborne Composites Automation or ACA was launched. This marked the start of the implementation of Airborne’s new growth strategy. Strengthening the focus on industrialisation Airborne expanded the automation activities, focussing its R&D on higher TRL levels, forming a partnership with Siemens and Kuka and qualifying automation solutions for industries such as Aerospace.

The Airborne Technology Center was reshaped into one of the founding elements of the ACA. The programmes that were originally carried out in the ATC are now either continued in the ACA while further focussing on automation and process development or, when application driven, in the business units Airborne Aerospace or Airborne Marine. ACA’s legacy is the development and implementation of the production lines at Airborne Oil and Gas. The same ACA team now, together with our partners Siemens and Kuka, is developing solutions for Airborne’s business units as well commercial solutions for other companies with the need to industrialise their composites production.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
