Meet the future of Composites Manufacturing! At Composites Europe 2018 (November 6 – 8) in Stuttgart, Airborne will boldly show what has not been shown before. Our Automated Kitting Solution will make its premiere LIVE in hall 9, booth C09. This unique integrated solution provides a composite production method for different industries like Aerospace, Space, Automotive and Mass Transportation.
The process plant installed will make its global debut at this trade show. Airborne has developed a plug and play kitting & sorting system for composite plies. The system starts with automatic ply picking from a conveyer belt and then moves to a sorting system which recognizes plies and sorts them automatically. The process is completely hands free and can be fully integrated with a cutting system. It also allows our customers to use automated sorting, without having to worry about integration in a cutting system. The system is offered in two sizes: medium and extra-large.

“From November 6-8th visitors can experience how a fully automated kitting process actually works: from cutting prepreg, dry-fibre or thermoplastic material, to picking the plies from the nest and placing them in a buffer station and sorting them into the right order. It is really a first time this integrated line is shown in full at a fair. In fact, I would say: Don’t miss it! It may be your only opportunity to see it this way, without having to visit a plant.”
