Typical ATL-centers need 24/7 operations to allow for a decent hourly tariff. In addition to the manufacture of large laminates, we see that companies applying ATL typically fill capacity with the manufacture of smaller laminates. When customers demand increased output, buying a second or third ATL-center causes a relative drop in machine use. Another option is to outsource the smaller laminates manufacturing to Airborne, either in your own factory or at an Airborne location nearby
Airborne stands up to its promises by offering a business model based on “pay per output”, rather than selling machines. This allows Airborne to continuously improve the process and allows you to select operational expense over capital expense.
More and more aircraft are purchased through agreements containing offset obligations. At the same time we see a trend of “on-shoring”, due to unexpected management and non-quality costs. Airborne offers to locate automated production cells anywhere in the world, allowing you to fulfill your offset obligations while at the same time improve control over the processes involved
Much of the composites processing takes place in clean-room environment; a valuable assett, which you want to optimally apply. Airborne’s automated production cells combine various activities in relatively small setups
Running into a great opportunity, but installing the required machines would take too long? Airborne automated production cells can be commissioned very quickly, due to their modular and simple designs.
Newspace is turning the space industry upside down. Commercial initiatives for affordable launchers and satellite (mega-)constellations require disruptive solutions in the supply chain – in price level as well as production capacity – whilst maintaining quality. Airborne’s solutions are both cost effective, easily scaleable and transferrable to any location in the world.
Airborne’s proposition is the following: You, our client, partner with Airborne in order to benefit from our automation development. A suitable programme is selected. Airborne transfers your production to the Airborne facility.
Initially we will use traditional, manual methods for production. During this phase, our engineers closely analyse the manufacturing process in order to identify the steps which are critical to quality. Based upon this knowledge, automated manufacturing lines will be developed and qualified.
After successful qualification, the initial production will be taken over by the automated production line. After an agreed period, the choice is yours:
